Some mornings call for a warming breakfast, and this one is a vitamin booster of note! Even if you’re not crazy about oats, you’ll love this bowl as the berry flavours instantly energise your day.

Oats are known to be a good source to lower cholesterol, and oats make such a good breakfast as it will sustain you an entire morning.

Top with a sprinkle of coconut flakes, chia and almonds, and you could even add in some cocoa nibs.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 C Oats
  • ¾ C Frozen Mixed Berries
  • 1 Tsp Honey (optional)
  •

    Serving suggestion:

  • Chia
  • Coconut Flakes (unsweetened)
  • Almonds
  •

    Directions:

Cook the oats with water. We used quick cooking oats, and cooked it in the microwave for 2 minutes. This generates about 1 cup of cooked oats.

Defrost and warm the berry mix in the microwave.

Add the berries to the OmniBlend jug, and add the oats on top. Drizzle a bit of honey in for a sweeter bowl. Start blending on low, increasing to medium, for 1 minute (or shorter if you prefer more texture).

Serve in a bowl, add any toppings of your liking, and serve warm.
