This citrus smoothie is packed with fresh and sweet citrus peachy flavours and vitamins, and it literally tastes like sunshine in a jar. Oranges provide high levels of fibre which is important for digestive health, and vitamin C which supports the immune system. We also added some nectarines which are part of the peach family, they are also a great source of vitamin C and A.
What tops this smoothie off is the knob of ginger that brings out the citrus flavours, and not only that: we love ginger because it contains shogaols which are reported to reduce inflammation, and have anti-diabetic and anti-cancerous properties as well. To make this recipe vegan friendly you can replace the yoghurt with non-diary milk and it’ll taste just as good!
Peel and pit the fruits, and add them with the other ingredients to your OmniBlend jug Blend from low to high for 60 seconds for a creamy result. Add more lemon juice or milk (to taste) to loosen.
Serve with a nice slice of orange :)
