Layered Spring Smoothie

Looking for an excellent source of vitamin C to fuel your body? Try this refreshing smoothie packed with vitamins, and probiotics for a healthy gut.

Oranges are not only a good source of vitamin C the nutrients in oranges are plentiful and diverse. Strawberries are also a good source of vitamin C and K, since it’s strawberry season we just couldn’t leave them out! :)

The layers will make it more appealing for your kids to drink their vitamins and actually, don’t we all love a bit of creativity?

Ingredients:

  • 1 Orange (peeled or juiced)
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 C Low Fat Milk (or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 C Plain Yoghurt
  • 1 Apple
  • 1/2 C Frozen strawberries
  •  

    Directions:

    Add all the ingredients to your OmniBlend jug, blend from low to high for 30 to 60 seconds for a smooth texture.

    For the creative layer, blend the orange, banana, yoghurt and half of the milk first, and pour in a glass. Then blend the strawberries and apple with the rest of the milk and pour over the first blend.

    Sit back and enjoy!
