Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

blueberry-muffin-smoothie-recipe

This is one of those smoothies that don’t taste like they’re healthy - in a good way! So if you’re not ready for carrots or greens in your smoothie, this is a fabulous alternative that is packed with antioxidants, protein, and healthy fat to give you a nutritious start of the day.

Frozen blueberries are a perfect staple to keep in your freezer for baking, cooking, and smoothies. Once defrosted, you can use them in your juicer too, for a delicious juice.

Using homemade almond milk adds creaminess and nuttiness, and is a good source of vitamin E, and minerals. It’s also a good alternative if you’re lactose intolerant.

Ingredients:

  • ½ C Frozen Blueberries
  • ½ C Almond Milk
  • 1/3 C Oats
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
  • 2 Tsp Honey
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Zest
  •

    Directions:

Add all ingredients to the OmniBlend jug, and blend starting at low speed, increasing to high, for about 60 seconds. Leave in the fridge to firm up for a decadent treat, or serve immediately with a Stream Straw.
