The SACCO Lyofast cultures contain probiotic strains Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis.
The culture creates a beautiful thick yoghurt that can be enjoyed on its own, or in smoothies. As only a tiny knifepoint of cultures per litre milk is used, it is very cost effective. The sachet makes about 100 litre yoghurt, which works out to R2.39 per litre.
It is suited for both cow milk and plant milk for a plant-based yoghurt. No raw materials of animal origin are used in the production of the culture.
